This 25-page photo book captures close-up detail of the abandoned buildings along the bike trail in Poughkeepsie, NY near the Walkway over the Hudson. The pages of each spread have leading lines that connect to each other, causing the images to blend together. I enjoy the challenge of finding beauty or interest in structures that have been deteriorated, rejected, and are typically seen as undesirable. With these photos, I wanted to explore the theme of nature reclaiming structures that humanity has abandoned and left behind. It shows how despite humanity moving on, nature will find a way to continue to grow.
